Accessibility Statement

We want Coast to Coast Ledger to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. This statement describes our approach and how to tell us about barriers.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is considered throughout design, development and content creation, and we treat accessibility issues as defects to be fixed.

Features of this website

  • Semantic structure: pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and lists so they can be navigated with screen readers.
  • Keyboard navigation: all menus, tabs, filters, dialogs and forms can be used with a keyboard.
  • Visible focus: a clear focus outline shows where you are on the page.
  • Skip link: a “Skip to main content” link appears at the top of every page when you press Tab.
  • Accessible forms: fields have visible labels, required fields are indicated, and errors are described in text and announced to assistive technology.
  • Text alternatives: informative images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Colour contrast: text and interface colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements.
  • Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are minimized.
  • Touch targets: buttons and links are sized for comfortable use on touch screens.
  • Responsive design: content reflows for small screens and zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling on most pages.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Photographs come from a licensed library, and while we write alternative text for them, descriptions may not capture every detail. Links to third-party websites lead to content we do not control and that may not meet the same standards.

Feedback and reporting barriers

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, please let us know. Email support@coasttocoastledger.org with the page address, a description of the problem and, if you are comfortable sharing it, the device, browser and assistive technology you use. We will review your feedback and work to address it. If you need content in an alternative format, we will try to provide it.

Assessment approach

This website has been assessed through self-evaluation, including keyboard-only testing, automated checks and review against WCAG 2.2 success criteria. We will continue to review the site as content and features change.
