Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Coast to Coast Ledger uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage, and how you can control them. You can change your choices at any time using the controls below.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a website store small amounts of information in your browser. They can be used to make a website work, remember preferences or understand how a site is used.

Essential cookies

Essential storage is necessary for the website to work and cannot be switched off through our preferences. We use it to:

  • remember your cookie consent choices (stored in your browser as ctcl_consent, which records your choices and the date you made them);
  • support basic security and the operation of our forms.

Essential storage does not track you across other websites.

Preferences

If you allow preference storage, we may remember interface choices, such as the last story filter you selected on our Stories page (stored as ctcl_story_filter). If you do not allow it, these choices simply reset each visit.

Analytics

At the time of this update, no analytics tools are installed on this website. If we add analytics in the future, they will be off by default and will only load after you opt in through our cookie preferences. We will update this policy to identify the provider, the cookies used and their duration.

Advertising and measurement

At the time of this update, no advertising or advertising-measurement technologies are installed on this website. If we introduce them in the future, they will not load before you give consent where consent is required, and this policy will be updated to describe them.

Retention

Your consent choice is stored for up to 12 months, after which we will ask again. You can change it sooner at any time. Preference storage is kept until you clear it, withdraw consent or clear your browser data. When you reject or withdraw consent for a category, we remove the related storage that we set.

Managing preferences

You can manage your choices in several ways:

  • Use the Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences buttons on this page.
  • Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking all storage may affect how the website works.
